If may be obvious that there should be respect between the client and Dog Obedience Pros, but what some people may not realize is that respect is essential between the trainer and the dog. The dog must first respect the trainer because, you guessed it, they won't listen unless there is a level of respect there. The dog must realize that it can't "pull a fast one" on the trainer and will only receive rewards and get to do the things it wants through respect and obedience. In turn, the trainer must respect the dog and treat it very well. A trainer must be stern, but never mean or overbearing to the dog. This distinction is very important in dog training as a trainer who doesn't demonstrate these principles can create a negative traiing experience for the dog and make it more difficult to be trained in the future.
